Uno: Play with Friends
The short version
No accounts, no email, no password. The App makes up a random id for your phone and asks you for a display name. Our server holds a game only while it is being played and forgets it when it ends. There is no database. The menu screens show a banner ad from Google AdMob, and that is the only third party involved.
1. Who we are
We are iAppSolution. We develop and publish the mobile card game Uno: Play with Friends (the App). This policy explains what data the App handles and why.
2. Playing offline
Games against the computer need no internet connection and send nothing anywhere. The App stores your settings (display name, difficulty, sound, vibration, colour-blind mode, auto-play) on the phone and nowhere else.
3. Playing online
There is nothing to sign up for. The first time you play online the App generates a random 128-bit id, stores it in the phone's secure storage and sends it to our server together with your display name. The server hashes the id and hands back a token that is valid for 30 days. Other players in your room see your display name and the hashed id, never the raw one.
Your display name is up to 20 characters and you pick it yourself. It defaults to "Player". It is the only thing about you that another person ever sees.
4. What our server keeps
Everything on the server lives in memory. There is no database and no file storage.
- A room holds its six-character code, the rules chosen, the players' display names and hashed ids, and the state of the current game.
- A finished game is cleared within about a minute. A lobby nobody has joined is cleared after ten minutes.
- A server restart wipes everything.
We keep no game history, no results, no friends list, no chat and no push tokens. The room code you share with friends is an opaque six-character string. It carries no personal data and stops working when the room closes.
5. In-app advertising
The App shows a banner ad from Google AdMob on the menu screens. No ads appear during a game. We do not control what data AdMob collects. Google may collect, under its own privacy policy:
- Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android)
- General device information such as model and OS version
- Your IP address and the approximate location it implies
- Ad impressions and clicks
You can limit this in your device settings:
- iOS: Settings, Privacy & Security, Tracking, turn off "Allow Apps to Request to Track"
- Android: Settings, Google, Ads, "Delete advertising ID" or opt out of personalised ads
Google's policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and its description of ad data is at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
6. Microphone
On Android the App's sound library declares the record-audio permission. The App never records audio. There is no voice chat, and no audio is ever sent anywhere.
7. Server logs
Our application code never reads or stores IP addresses. The web server in front of it keeps ordinary access logs (IP address, time and requested path). We use those only to keep the service running and to investigate abuse.
8. No analytics, no tracking, no purchases
Apart from the ad SDK the App contains no analytics, crash-reporting or tracking library. It does not read your contacts or location, and it does not send push notifications. There are no in-app purchases.
9. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the App removes the device id, your display name and your settings. There is nothing durable on our side to delete. Your token expires on its own after 30 days, and any room you were in is already gone.
10. Children's privacy
We collect no personal data from anyone, children included. The only data flow off the device is the advertising described in section 5. Parents who want to limit that should use the device settings listed there. If you have concerns, contact us.
11. Your rights
Under laws such as GDPR and CCPA you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data. We hold none on a durable basis, so there is nothing to provide or delete. Requests about advertising data go to Google. If you have questions, contact us and we will confirm this.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you through the App or the app store listing. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
